AFTER EFFECTS, AUDITION
This video was made for entertainment. I wrote the script and provided the voice work and music production. I animated quickly and added silly sound effects. I’m pleased with the outcome which I hoped would be spontaneous, quirky and colourful.
YOUTUBE GUITAR LESSON
PREMIERE PRO, AFTER EFFECTS
This tutorial involved using a microphone, camera tripod and some lighting to produce a piece of YouTube content with a lo-fi homemade charm. The animated graphics were added to coincide with my hand positions on the guitar. My presentation and delivery is casual and unscripted, suited more for intermediate guitarist and not intended for beginners.
FUNNY XMAS ANIMATION
AFTER EFFECTS, PRO TOOLS
A sequel to the first animation, this piece was creating with a quick and loose feel in keeping with the vibe of the script, with little flaws and wrinkles adding to the charm. With the tight deadline met, it was uploaded just before Christmas to entertain a holiday audience after the frantic rush to buy last minute gifts.
IN THE PUBLIC DOMAIN
PREMIERE PRO
The materials used to produce this video were sourced from a copyright-free public domain archive. A selection of silver screen stock footage, old new reels and remnants of a bygone era resulting in an eye-catching music video with a retro feel.
KINETIC TYPOGRAPHY
AFTER EFFECTS
The video for Cement Shoes includes a wide variety of animated presets to distort and manipulate the text. Finding ways to marry the words on screen with the tone and momentum of the song was challenging. There are some sections where the visual component compliments the audio perfectly. But not always.
PHOTO COLLAGE & LYRICS
PREMIERE PRO, AFTER EFFECTS
This piece was produced from royalty free stock photography and sequenced with Premiere Pro. I used After Effects to synchronise the text with the audio. Monochrome images animate on and off screen in time to the music to create a sober companion piece to this moody folk song.
QUIT WHILE YOU’RE AHEAD
AFTER EFFECTS, AUDITION
This video created with After Effects uses the WAV file to produce an audio spectrum visualisation effect which reacts to the changing frequency of the music. I used several different colour overlays to create contrast between each section of the song.
